What Is Experiential Learning at ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡?
Experiential learning at ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ Career Services connects students with meaningful, hands-on opportunities that build professional skills and expand career possibilities. These experiences are designed to help students apply what they learn in class to real projects developed with employers and community-based partners.
A recent example is the Summer 2025 Riipen pilot at ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡, which was integrated into CAP 200: Bronx Beautiful, a five-week asynchronous course rooted in civic engagement, digital literacies, and place-based inquiry. Through this pilot, students worked on projects that supported organizations while also producing résumé-ready deliverables.
This work reflects ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡’s commitment to equity, transparency, mentorship, and supported experimentation, especially for first-generation students, working adults, caregivers, and other learners balancing complex responsibilities while pursuing their education.

Summer 2025 Project Highlights
Through the Riipen pilot, ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ students worked on projects that blended digital skills, communication, and community-connected problem solving.
- Youth ARE: Students developed a bilingual animated explainer video in English and Spanish focused on mutual aid and intergenerational solidarity.
- Happy Cramps: Students created Gen Z-focused menstrual health videos and social media marketing content centered on education, communication, and audience engagement.
- Feminine Intelligence Agency: Students produced interactive tools designed to help users identify microaggressions and better understand social dynamics in digital spaces.
These projects gave students the opportunity to strengthen digital communication, collaboration, research, and creative problem-solving skills while contributing meaningful work to partner organizations.
